Woke up, and it was beautiful outside!!! At last, a non-scorcher! I love a good, hot day, but until DZ and I get our passes for the Circle Woods pool, a 90-degree day is basically one where it's miserable to step outside your door before 7pm. :P

Dan told me to take time for a break sometime today, instead of staying glued to the computer, sorting photos, or stuck in a closet somewhere, rearranging shelves.

So I took my beach towel outback and read Winnie-The-Pooh.

"Christopher -- ow! -- Robin?"
"Yes?"
I have just been thinking, and I have come to a very important decision. These are the wrong sort of bees."
"Are they?"
"Quite the wrong sort. So I should think they would make the wrong sort of honey, shouldn't you?"
"Would they?"
"Yes. So I think I shall come down."

lol But 'nuff of Pooh, time to go do photo-sort-y and thank-you-note-y things...

...with coffee!

  1. Yay! Had a lovely time reading your blog and such. Especially the bit about your great adventure. ("Parp?!") I'm very glad you got back inside, it's nice to see all those windows-are-doors-too habits of yours are finally paying off. ;P

You have a big mug of coffee! When did that happen? What happened to the teeny-tiny blue shot mug?! ;D

Also, I feel I should probably apologize to you since, the minute I started reading your blog, I realized Mommy was reading it OUT LOUD to Katy in the next room. Not wanting to get spoilers, I quickly turned on some background music which may or may not have been Loreena McKennitt. ;P

Many more happy adventures to you. You write quirky everyday comedy like a pro. Wuv you!

  3. Ha! This is brilliant! All the fun bits with happyhappy pictures inbetween, like the white stuff 'n oreos. Quite aside from the update on your doings (which is brill -- though I still want to call you) this nicely filled my 'laugh yourself silly' study-break quota for the day: finish Merchant of Venice, read about your crazy sister locking herself out of her new house and visiting with the internet guy (the key was in the turtle, by the way, not the frog -- Honore could have told you). ;)

I am happy to reassure you (echoing Hannah) that you have the happy knack for friendly-funny-frankly-addictive blogging -- you are well clear of the Julies, and much closer to the Julias: "I thought I was speaking French to you! No? Hmmm."

    Love you! Post more. :D

  4. Yayayayay! I've found my new favorite internet-hangout! ;)
'Course, you do realize, the humor ("humore" if you've lived in France a couple years), story-telling and general quality of your writing style being what it's always been, someone’s gonna swoop in, make into a book, and then cast Amy Adams to play you in the movie version. Ack! May it never beeeee!
So totally with you on the Owl-City-Godsend thing. ^^ Shooting Star: Run, Gold: Trampoline, repeat as needed while drawing. ;)
I is looooves your pictures! (People, happy items, and Gilmores = <3)I love the shot of all your Fiesta ware in the kawaii cupboard, an your many frames, shells, and facial cleansers featured prominently together (as it should be).
This blog: 'tis a happy place. XD

  5. I have to agree with Katy on this one. I love reading this blog! Makes me happy. :)

That story about getting locked out was, to quote Jayne, "High-Larious". :P
Glad you made it back in without any serious awkwardness... for the most part. Whatever you do, KEEP POSTING AWSOMENESS!! :D

  6. Geeee!! Reading your blog is like watching a new episode of an awesome-sauce TV show <3

Gilmore Girls, Winnie the Pooh, Owl City, coffee, pictures, pretty dishes, an excess of plastic forks, unlocked window, pink lillies, and a French/African/Floridian/Redneck cable guy... I is picturing Virginia = happy, shiny place of rainbows and unicorns!

Keep posting many much + pictures = happiness <3
